ALL GOOD THINGS COME WITH TIME, 2023 — Found paper, plastic bag — 25 x 20 cm

The Luxembourg Institute for Artistic Research NYC is pleased to announce the first exhibition in its annual OPEN CALL tradition, PASSE-PARTOUT, a group show showcasing works by artists based in New York City, Luxembourg, and Germany.

Following the open call for artworks, in which citizens and residents of New York and Luxembourg were invited to submit any work 8.5 x 11 x 3 inches / 21 x 29 x 7 cm or smaller, regardless of medium (save video), a selection of eleven artists was made.

Thematically disparate beyond their compact dimensions, the works in this show reflect the diversity in thought and practice represented by the eleven artists selected for the exhibition. Ranging in form from sculpture to drawing, the tie that binds the works together is their openness to exist in dialogue alongside one another, within a vitrine on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Situated against a modest plywood backdrop, the works converse, emitting a whimsical exchange that passersby can drop into and out of as they please, a perfectly embodied kind of passe-partout.
